Nothing,
is the answer.
If God has done it, then He can easily do
it again. Remember, God changes not, yesterday, today, and forever.
Often times you and I tie God's hands. Unconsciously we limit God with our
unbelief. Mark 9:23 says, Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe,
all things are possible to him that believeth. If all things are possible
for Jesus, it means that all things are possible for us to do whatever His
commands say, to receive all that have been given to us.
Let's review the actions and attitude of those whose names are written in the Bible in order for us to avoid making the same mistakes that they did. It is written how Sarah heard God spoke to Abraham that she will bear a son the following year. At the time Abraham and Sarah were old that Sarah has past the age of childbearing. Sarah considered their physical conditions. Sarah's faith stopped there. Her mind has been set, and she couldn't believe more than what she could imagine. That's why she refused God's Word (read Genesis 18:1-15). Praise God, the Lord didn't see Sarah's faith but Abraham's. Majority of Christians have faith like Sarah's, and many times unbelief statements are "supported" by findings of science and technology. The Word of God is seen ancient and outdated for today's world. Then what about the Scripture that says, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8).
Your faith and mine cannot go beyond our own image. Who created the images in your mind? You, of course! Consequently, we need to change our image. We need to renew our mind with the Word of God, so that the new images are created, i.e. that we are created in the image and likeness of God. Start putting those images in your mind, and with the renewed mind, you can receive what God has provided for you. And nothing is too difficult for you.
According to the image and likeness of Trinity God (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), you and I are created. God didn't stop there. He created man to have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth (Genesis 1:26). God has creative power in His Words. And so do we. We have the same creative power. What we say come to pass, and if you keep saying negative things—for instance: can't do, unworthy, aren't able, don't believe—then you will eat the fruits of your words. If today we are exhorted by the Word of God that we can have what we say, start saying good things.
Promise me that you will only speak things that you want to have in life. Throw away the old vocabulary, feed in new words, the quickening Word of God. It's not hard to do, though it takes time to change old habits. It takes time to meditate on the Word till the Word fills up your heart. Once it's overflow in your heart, it will come out of your mouth (Matthew 12:34). God never asks you to do something that you can't or impossible to do.
Romans 5:17, The Amplified Bible says, ...much more surely will those who receive [God's] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
Have we reigned as kings in life on earth? Meditate on this scripture, judge where you are? Have you reflected this scripture yet? Aren't we supposed to be an open letter for all to read? (2 Corinthians 3:2).
I try to imagine myself as one with her own kingdom, where I was the king. Whatever the king says becomes a command. Without renewing your mind, you will never be bale to position yourself in that place. You will be scared and you will always feel unworthy. Meanwhile the Lord wants you and I to think big for He is big. You and I are His heirs and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. Enjoy your inheritance without tears and sweat.
You and I don't have any burden. We don't have to fight, struggle, wrestle, and work to get, because all has been done by Jesus. And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it (Colossians 2:15). To spoil means to disarm. If the Lord Jesus has disarmed the devil, then he doesn't have any weapons anymore. However, since the devil is father of lies, he constantly deceive those who are gullible (those who are ignorant of God's Word) as if he still is powerful.
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church. Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all (Ephesians 1:22-23). Friend, you and I are the Body of Christ. All has been put under His feet and feet is lower part of a body. It means everything has been put under you and I!! I do pray that this scripture opens your spiritual eyes. You don't have to fight with the devil. You don't necessarily have to physically visit places all over the world to conquer the devil.
If only we believe the Word of God that says Jesus has conquered the devil through His death and resurrection, we will not be easily deceived by the devil who try to convince us that he owns certain places and therefore the Word of God is hard to penetrate those places. God the Father created the world with His Word which shows how mighty His Words are. And if by His Word darkness turned to light (Genesis 1:2-3), it means the same Word is also able to conquer the devil!
So if we resist the devil, you will only need to take out your spiritual weapon, the Word of God. The devil is not afraid of anointing oil, or prayed up water. The devil is not afraid of a group of people walking in prayers without faith. The devil can only be conquered by the Word of God (1 Peter 5:8-9). Afterward, stand steadfastly and refuse to give in to natural facts. Our weapons of warfare are not physical, but ones equipped with power of God to tear down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). This time God reminds us that He will fight for you, and you will only see the salvation that comes from Him (Exodus 14:14).
In order to reign as kings in life, let's get back to our nature as a spiritual man who owns a soul (mind, will, emotions) and lives in a body. You are a spiritual man. God is a Spirit, and whosoever worships Him must do it in the spirit and truth (John 14:24). Our weapons are spiritual weapons.
Our enemies, the devil and his cohorts, are spirit beings and not flesh and blood. So, if the war is there, it's called spiritual warfare, which means you can do it from wherever you are. If you are too busy chasing and fighting the devil, when will you have time to reign as kings? Apostle Paul reminded the church in Philippi to keep working out the salvation of their soul, i.e. the renewal of their mind, and to put on the new man.
2 Peter 1:19 says, We have also a more sure word of prophecy: whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.
We are asked to take heed to the more sure word. The God-kind-of-faith can only be built come through hearing the Word of God and meditation. If you and I keep building our faith, we may enter the rest of God (Hebrews 4:3,10). Only the believers--those who believe the Word works and never fails--can enter God's rest.
If one enters God's rest, he believes the Word of God with his heart, not only a mental assent. A lot of Christians still take one for another. Often we hear a Christian says, "Yes, I believe, but.." Another says, "Yes, I know the Bible says that and I always believe it, but..." Do you also hear the similar statements? Those statements say that those people only have mental assent about the Word of God. They agree mentally, but they don't believe with their hearts (Romans 10:10). They still rationalize the Word of God.
A well-known English evangelist by the name of John Wesley says that the devil sneaked into the church and change the meaning of faith with mental assent.
We can see the application of Romans 10:10 (believe in heart and confess with mouth) in Mark 11:23, For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Faith says that I have it now. Faith says that I believe I already have it, then I will receive it. Wishing says that I will get it one day. Wishing says that I want it and I believe I may get it.
If we talk about faith, we will always go back to Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not see.
The foundation of the above truth is John 14:12. The key is if we believe Jesus, we will do works of Jesus, even greater works than His. Jesus preached the gospel to the poor: delivered the captives, gave sight to the blind, healed the brokenhearted. He preached the acceptable year of the Lord has come. Jesus Himself is the acceptable year (Luke 4:18-20).
After His death and resurrection, Jesus doesn't do those things anymore. It was then commanded to you and me with the help of the Holy Spirit and His might to do the works. If you and I don't do it, then the gospel will not reach those who need it. The responsibility lays in our hands. The Holy Spirit who was with Jesus now dwells in our hearts. Don't just leave the responsibility to the five fold ministry. Before He ascended to heaven, Jesus gave the Great Commission to His disciples—not to ministers only— to preach the gospel (read Matthew 28:19-20).
Believe Jesus that you are able to do what He did when He lived as a human being. You and I are alike Him, nothing more, nothing less. You and I are imitators of Him. We are His cloning.
If you don't work, Jesus doesn't have the job. If you are not prosperous in this earth, He doesn't have the prosperity in this earth. It is our responsibility to receive and preach the gospel. God never tells us to do something that we are not anointed to do.
The Holy Spirit has been sent to dwell in our hearts that our body is called the temple of God. Then God emphasizes that all things happen not because of our strength and might, but because of the power of the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). We are called the temple of God, where the Spirit of God dwells, that means whatever that God tells us do, we are well able to do it by the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost.
